1st Annual SMACNA Arizona Invitational Golf Tournament 2004
ADOLFSON & PETERSON CONSTRUCTION
CAPTURES SMACNA ARIZONA SPRING GOLF TOURNEY
A four-man team representing Adolfson & Peterson Construction has won first place in the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, Arizona Chapter's (SMACNA Arizona) spring golf tournament held at Starfire Golf Club in Scottsdale.
Jim Senna, Cary Molash, Ron Mayor and Matt Reinick posted a score of 56 to edge a team from Boyer Metal Company of Flagstaff by one stroke. The Boyer team included Jim Martin, Doug Horton, Mike Kraemer and Dave Dobbins.
Third place went to Premier Mechanical of Tempe: Doyle Kahabka, Robert Fitts, John Kleskco and John Brunia, who finished two shots back.
The tournament was designed as a way for members and others in the HVAC and related industries to network and compete in a fun environment.
"SMACNA Arizona has been working hard to help its members through the creation of a couple of special events that encourage one-on-one socializing with other members and clients," said Carol Goguen, SMACNA Arizona's executive director. "The tremendous positive feedback from our membership and the overall success of our spring tournament is a strong testament to how we are meeting the needs of our industry."
SMACNA's mission is to provide products, services and representation to enhance members' businesses, markets, and profitability. SMACNA is an international association of union contractors in the sheet metal and air conditioning industry representing 4,500 contributing contractor firms. The organization is committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence in all facets of the sheet metal and air conditioning industry. To reach this goal, SMACNA Arizona has contributed more than $2.5 million statewide toward skills training and apprenticeships programs over the past three years.

SMACNA'S RUNNERS-UP - Boyer Metal Company of Flagstaff boasted the second-place team in SMACNA Arizona's spring golf tournament. One stroke separated first and second place.
