Once completed, this project will become the new corporate headquarters for The Dial Corporation, a Henkel Company. Dial is one of America's leading manufacturers of consumer brands, including wellknown products such as Dial® soap, Purex® laundry detergent, Renuzit® air fresheners and Right Guard® antiperspirants/deodorants. The four-story, 335,000-square-foot building will house corporate administration, training functions and Research and Development, which will feature wet laboratories for product development. Also included will be FDA and EPA-sanctioned pilot plants to simulate product-manufacturing processes, think-tank spaces, conference and training facilities, a full-service cafeteria and food service facility, print/copy resource center, fitness center, and green roof gardens. It will sit atop a three-story, 1,000-space, underground parking garage.
Building Information Modeling was used extensively on the project. This cutting-edge technology replaces two-dimensional construction drawings with multi-dimensional computer models, allowing the project team to identify and resolve challenges during design and avoid costly and time-consuming changes during construction. Dial's new corporate headquarters is expected to obtain LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
