The Homer D. Dukes Sheet Metal Training Center, built in 1982, is the first training center built in Arizona specifically for the purpose of teaching the sheet metal trade, including HVAC system design and installation, welding, computer-aided drafting (CAD), testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB), and architectural sheet metal.
 
The training is how SMACNA-Arizona contractor develop sheet metal workers with superior skills and safety standards. Safer workers mean fewer lost-workday incidences
 
SMACNA-Arizona contractors are committed to life-long learning for their employees. Training doesn’t end upon successful apprenticeship completion. Craftspeople on SMACNA-Arizona crews continue to sharpen their skills through journeymen upgrade classes that include:

  • OSHA/SSTA
  • Hoisting and rigging
  • ATS plastics
