Bel-Aire Mechanical (Phoenix, AZ) has recently completed construction of the NEW BUMCT North Campus Outpatient Center. This project consists of a 260,000 square foot outpatient facility complete with cardiovascular, dermatology, neurosciences, OBGYN, urology and other specialty clinics. This facility also includes the latest technology in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), linear particle accelerators (LINAC), radiation oncology (RADONC), computerized axial tomography simulators (CAT), surgery center (OR) with endoscopy and catheterization lab (CATH). Adjacent to the new clinic is a NEW 900 stall parking garage.

Bel-Aire Mechanical performed extensive pre-construction services for the project and worked closely with the design team. By helping with the permit set of drawings, Bel-Aire ensured that the project remained on schedule to facilitate early occupancy of doctors and patients. Bel-Aire’s team was able to identify concerns and constructability issues early in the project to avoid costly delays and impact to other trades.

The final installation includes a 750-ton roof mounted packaged central plant that incorporates chillers, cooling towers, basin filtration systems, boilers, pumps, VFD’s and automated chemical treatment system. Two large rooftop air handling units were installed to feed more than 730 active chilled beams and terminal zone boxes with hot water reheat to provide comfort cooling within the space. Bel-Aire collaborated with other trades to fabricate, assemble and install utility racks complete with duct, CHW piping, HHW piping, blended chilled water, domestic cold water, domestic hot water, medical gas pipe, electrical conduit and IT trays. These modules were assembled at Bel-Aire’s fabrication facility in Phoenix and then shipped for “just-in-time” deliveries for field installation.
